Sodium is the most important electrolyte for hydration as it helps your body retain water. Sodium is lost during physical activity and replacing it is vital for optimal performance. Much of the research coming out lately shows that we need more sodium in our diets (but not from processed or junk foods). We do realize that, on the advice of their doctor, some people have to monitor their sodium intake, which is why we loudly and proudly put our sodium content on the front of each package.
We use a natural, plant-based sweetener called Glyvia™ that has been approved as natural product by Health Canada. Glyvia is a patented complex of amino acetic acid, also known as glycine, and a variety of plant glycosides that deliver a sugar-like taste with zero-calories and no aftertaste.
Actually, there are 3 things that make us different.
Our ingredients are very clean with no known allergens. Insaltd has zero-gluten, zero-sugar and zero-artificial sweeteners.
Below is a complete list of our ingredients so you can check for yourself if there is anything you need to stay away from.
Insaltd Ingredients:
Sodium chloride, potassium citrate, Glyvia (aminoacetic acid & plant glycosides complex), magnesium citrate, calcium citrate, vitamin D3, natural flavor, citric acid, and chromium polynicotinate
Insaltd is made and packaged in the USA.
Generally speaking, we tend to dilute servings given to kids with up to twice as much water (32oz vs 16oz). We feel Insaltd is much better than the popular sports drinks but because we don’t add any color to our formula, your kids may think differently.
Please take a close look at our ingredient list to see if there is anything your family doctor or healthcare professional would advise against for your child.

It really depends on your activity level, diet and your overall health. We have found that starting the day with a glass of Insaltd electrolytes helps replenish the fluids lost during the night. You can do the same with a pinch of sea salt and a squeeze of lemon in a glass of water. If you’re an athlete, work in the hot sun or even if you just get thirsty a lot, taking an electrolyte rich beverage can be really helpful.
Of course, if you have any doubts, consult your healthcare professional before making any drastic changes to your diet.
